    A subtle yet powerful form of hands-on healing. Reiki is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy. This energy is also referred to as chi in China and prana in India. A Reiki session is done with the client fully clothed. The therapist places her hands on certain areas of the body with very gentle pressure. Most people feel a deep sense of calm and well being following a session. Studies have shown that Reiki can reduce pain, depression and anxiety. This style of bodywork is great for anyone regardless of medical condition. Reiki can also be added to any massage therapy session.
